How will I know what has happened to the properties advertised?
Information relating to homes let is published on the website under Properties and recent lets (go to the Recent lets tab and then search by the date the property was let).
We will tell you the number of applicants that expressed an interest in each property, the band, and the priority date of the applicant at the top of the shortlist. Please note that although an offer will normally be made to this applicant, for various reasons, the property may eventually be let to an applicant lower down the list.
How does this information help me?
It gives you a better idea of how popular a particular property or area is and how long you might have to be on the register before being offered something similar.
Generally, the more flexible you are in your area choices and the type of property you bid for, the sooner you will be successful. However, Waverley is a high demand area with more than 1,000 households on its Housing Register so unfortunately applicants tend to wait years rather months to be successful in bidding.
